Priorities

So...it's the 20th of April 2011. For most of us, the exam countdown has begun. Just a few weeks until the horror begins. Safe to say, this is the one of the more dull parts of the year.
So you'd think life for the next few weeks would be school, school, school. Work, work work. Study, study, study...

Nope. 'fraid not. A lack of revision seems to be more and more likely.

As for why? I suppose it's partially my lackadaisical nature, and partially my new laptop. But a more excusable reason would simply be a busy schedule.
Beginning with an afternoon drama trip tomorrow. To the ballet.

*insert sarcastic comment here*

It's going to be such a waste of a day.
Free Period 1st. Free Period 2nd. Free Period 3rd. BALLET!... ¬¬
I mean, It's not even as if I'll be missing school for anything remotely beneficial. I'll be going somewhere to watch some people do some dancing in some theatre. No dialogue. Just dancing and prancing. Trying to portray the meaning behind Alice in wonderland. (which is apparently about some girl who eats cake and finds some psycho bunny rabbit?)
The only positive from this day out is the fact I'm 18, meaning I can soon erase the show from my memory using, very effective, alcohol related products.

Now you may think, "Well, that's all well and good. But why does this take up all your time on other days?" (Please don't abuse me, I couldn't think of any other way to begin this paragraph) :)
Well...let's just relate the the beginning here:
I am extremely lazy. I have no motivation and just want to sit on my laptop writing silly, mundane blogs. The only time I will do work is when we are in school. (And even that's a rarity!)
So I'll just work in school then. Right? WRONG!
Good Friday.
The Royal Wedding.
May Day.

Holidays. Days off. The reasons I don't get any work done. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good holiday doing nothing but going out in the sun, or staying in and watching repeats of Top Gear on Dave. But so close to exams when school is the only place I'll do work? Not so good.

While we're on the subject. A holiday for the Royal Wedding?
You are joking, right?
No one cares. Oh joy, someone else is getting married. But wait, it's a relation to the Queen. Therefore it must be important. Because her face is on the money, and if her face is on the money then she must be some kind of Hero. (Heroin?)
Nah, the royals do nothing. Absoloutely nothing. They just visit countries, wave and 3rd world populations, and piss off back to their palace. Job done.
A holiday for them?
Get out.

(It is at this point that I have realised that this post is very angry/another negative word...better cheer it up a bit before the end...)

I do feel as if I have missed something out somewhat...and I think it's that, as much as working and studying would be beneficial, nobody likes school. It's boring.
So you know what? Enjoy the days off. Sleep in. Go up town. Don't revise. And fuck yer SQA!

Who needs priorities? :D

I think I got away with making this blog post cheery, yes? xD

It's been a while...

Has it really been 10 months, or so, since my last post?
How time flies, eh?

If I'm honest though, there hasn't exactly been much to blog about. Well actually, there were exam results, a mound of school work, Christmas and New Year (also referred to as "Banter"), and a relationship here and there. Not to mention my beloved Livingston winning the league!
So really, if you think about it, a fair amount has happened. It's just that I've been a tad lazy. But haven't we all been? Let's face it, school has taken it's toll on the majority of us. It seems as if every single one of our 6th year lot are just counting down the days. Counting down to the moment where the clock strikes 15:30 on our final exam. Counting down the seconds to leaving our second home of the past 6 years! Counting down to...

SUMMER!

This year, the sun-giving months will be something quite different! Whether you just simply want to chill, relax and ease your mind, or whether you're off partying in Eastern Europe, this summer will be something to cherish! As it will be the first few months of our long, overdue freedom of responsibility!

For a few months at least...
After all, University and College are both just a stones throw away. Everyone you've known for years upon years spreading out, splitting apart and going their separate ways.
Growing up sure sounds like a delightful thought, doesn't it?...

But hey, what about all the positives?
Studying something you love? Meeting new mates? Taking control of your life?
Doesn't sound so bad, if you ask me.
Maybe then, we should forget about this fantasy of a wild summer, simmer down, and prepare ourselves for the new journey we are about to embarke upon?

Ha! Fuck that!
I'm getting pished!
